The 16th century Revelin Fortress is part of the beautiful Dubrovnik centre – a UNESCO Heritage Site, connected to the mainland by one stone and one wooden draw-bridge, encircled by the mount from three sides and by the sea from the fourth, southern side.
The Revelin Fortress served several purposes through its history. Its original function was to defend but the Cathedral Treasury used to be kept there, also the City treasury. It was the place of Dubrovnik Government Council meetings, then a caserne for some time.
After its reconstruction the Revelin Fortress today offers its unique and splendid interior full of imaginative charm of history to different events, conferences, gala dinners, concerts and other celebrations in regard to desires of modern tourists.
